It’s also fun for solo travelers and friends and compliments your time at Walt Disney Studio’s Avengers Campus next door.
Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel Review: A Marvel Fan’s Dream Stay
When I told my dad I was taking him somewhere special for Father’s Day, his face lit up with curiosity. The man has been a Marvel fan since Stan Lee first introduced Spider-Man to the world.
He’s the kind of guy who geeks out on Marvel YouTube channels, rewatches all the Avengers movies like it’s a Sunday sermon and collects vintage comic books like they’re sacred scrolls.
So, when I revealed we’d be staying at France’s 4-star Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, a sleek, superhero-themed resort just steps away from Disneyland Paris, he was as giddy as Peter Parker meeting Tony Stark for the first time.

I’ll admit, the name didn’t click for me at first, but the moment I stepped inside, it all made sense. The concept is literally about the art of Marvel as you’ll see throughout the hotel.
Think sleek hallways with larger-than-life Iron Man suits on display, a stylish New York inspired lobby that feels straight out of a Marvel movie, and the world’s largest Marvel art collection.

Who Should Stay Here?
- Marvel superfans who want to live their MCU dreams.
- Families, couples, friends, & solo travelers looking for a unique Disney stay.
- Special occasions (this was THE best Father’s Day gift!)

Check-in & Arrival
Skip the hassle of lugging your bags to the hotel and use the complimentary Disney Express Luggage Service offered to all Disneyland Paris hotel guests, whether arriving by train, RER, Magical Shuttle, or other transport.

How It Works:
🧳Drop off your bags at the Disney Express counter (1st floor, Marne-La-Vallée/Chessy station) between 7:45 AM – 9 PM.
🛎 Complete your hotel pre-check-in and grab your park tickets.
🎢 Head straight to Disney Parks. Your luggage will be sent to your hotel!
Pro Tip: Arrive early! We checked in at 11 AM to beat the crowds, which tend to roll in around lunch (1 PM).

First Impressions: A Marvel Fan’s Dream
I knew we were in for the whole experience when we pulled up and there was an old fashioned taxi like out of a Marvel comic book.
And the exterior had a very cool futuristic look with a sleek Manhattan skyscraper, giving you major Stark Tower vibes. Outside, towering statues of Iron Man and Captain Marvel overlook a lake, which we could even see from our window!

Inside? BAM! Floor-to-ceiling displays of Iron Man suits, over 350 pieces of Marvel artwork, and exclusive concept sketches created just for the hotel. Everywhere you look, there’s something to gawk at.
The vibe? Less comic book store, more Marvel art gallery, which was sophisticated with just the right amount of superhero flair.
Gotta say, the highlight for me was watching my dad’s facial expressions, which were just priceless. Worth every penny.
When we first arrived, my dad was like a kid in a candy store, looking up and around in amazement. The first thing he did was head into the gift shop and I got him a Marvel t-shirt and hat so he could get into theme.

He loves art, architecture, and of course, all things MCU, so he was in heaven, spending hours roaming the halls, admiring the art on the walls. At one point, he was geeking out over a Black Panther piece for a solid 15 minutes.

Rooms & Amenities: Living Like a Superhero
Now, let’s talk about the rooms, which deserve a moment!
Each blends sleek Art Deco style with subtle Marvel theming, featuring different superheroes like Iron Man, Thor, and Spider-Man.

We stayed in a Superior Garden Room (#4246), Spider-Man themed. It struck a perfect balance between modern sophistication and Marvel fandom.
With two plush double beds, it sleeps up to 4 guests, making it a great option for families or friends traveling together. Family rooms and suites are also available for larger groups.
The room itself was well-equipped:
🖼️ Walls featured sleek Marvel artwork—Iron Man, Captain America, and Black Widow. Also, subtle superhero motifs on wallpaper, which my dad spotted instantly!
📺 Smart TV flatscreen with Chromecast, mini-fridge, coffee maker, bedside outlets, free WiFi, a mirror that plays TV, and water bottles.
🛁 Rainfall shower stocked with Marvel-themed toiletries (a fun touch!) and bluetooth speakers in shower.
🧳Amenities like Laundry service, Room service, Ironing service, Concierge, and complimentary Disney Express Luggage Service.
💼 Good closet & storage space.
My dad, ever the Marvel superfan, loved the subtle superhero motifs on the wallpaper, which made the room feel classy yet playful, perfect for fans of all ages.
I will say, unlike bolder designs in Disney resorts in the U.S. or Japan, this one leans into understated elegance. Great for luxury travelers, but some (like me) might want more Marvel magic.
Also, the room could have been more spacious. We should have asked not to be given an adjoining room (only good if your group has 2 rooms together).
Pro Tip: If you want a more exclusive, relaxing stay, book a suite for access to the Empire State Club Lounge—private check-in, valet parking, and perks like complimentary Afternoon Tea, Breakfast, and Snacks

Dining: Marvel-Inspired Bites & Cocktails
For breakfast, dinner, or a snack, there are several great options. Keep in mind, there is no lunch option unless you have lounge access.
🍝 Manhattan Restaurant – Upscale Italian with an NYC twist. Best dishes: Burrata, Pasta e Fagioli, Prawns in Saffron, Osso Bucco Risotto. Our server, Niccolo, was amazing!
🥗 Downtown Restaurant – Went for breakfast, buffet-style dining, loved decor but food lacked Marvel theming. Food selection was great: French pastries, charcuterie & cheese, lox, fruit, nuts, American classics, etc.
🍹 Skyline Bar – Best Marvel-themed cocktails & light bites with sleek NYC atmosphere and a realistic animated “window” with Iron Man appearances. (opens at 5 PM).

☕ Bleeker Street Lounge – Try the Spider Man or Groot cappuccino art.
🥞 Room Service Breakfast – A steal at €50 for 3 people & fast delivery—better if you want a menu instead of a buffet!

🚨 Pro Tip: Book restaurants early! Use the Disneyland Paris app (hotel guests can reserve 1 year in advance). Walk-ins? Try before or after peak (7-9 PM) or reserve with the concierge same day. Disney’s restaurant reservation line, also shows even more tables. Also try booking in a different language in the app.
Don’t worry about breakfast reservations, whether at Manhattan or Downtown, they’re first come first serve.

🧳 Luggage Service: They accommodated our late departure and personally delivered our bags to the train station. The bellhop even waited 10 minutes outside our door to give us extra time.

Is It Worth the Price? My Honest Review
Okay, I’ll admit, it’s a splurge. Rates start at around $573 per night for a standard room, and prices can climb higher depending on the season or room type.
However, others have said that it has better value for a higher price than the budget Disney hotels. So, why not?
For a special occasion like Father’s Day, it’s 100% worth it.
This isn’t just a hotel stay. It’s a full-blown Marvel experience and for many, a bucketlist / YOLO hotel stay for MCU enthusiasts going to Avengers Campus at Walt Disney Studios next door, which justifies the price in my opinion.

There are also many benefits exclusive to Disney resort guests.
Exclusive Perks:
🧳 Luggage Transfer: Convenient transport of luggage to and from the hotel.
🕙 Extra Magic Time: Access to both parks an hour before official opening.
🚌 Shuttle Service: Complimentary transport to and from the train station, parks, and hotel.
🛎 Hotel Pre-Check-In: Streamlined check-in process, allowing guests to head straight to the parks upon arrival.

How to Book Your Stay & Save Money
Disneyland Paris doesn’t list nightly hotel rates since most guests book hotel + park ticket packages—and for good reason. Packages offer better value, bundling your stay with discounted park tickets.
🎡 More Park Time: Stay 3 nights = 4 days of park access.
💰 Savings: Booking together is cheaper than separate reservations.
🤑 Example Cost: I paid €2,800.89 ($3,073.14) for 2 nights, 3 people, both parks (Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios) in July, which is peak season AND I booked last minute. You can get much cheaper rates if you plan ahead.
🔥 Pro Tip: Prices drop significantly when booking 1+ year in advance!
✨️ Feb 16, 2026: $706 vs. Feb 16, 2025: $1,051.
📅 Avoid Peak Times: Mid-week stays (Tuesday–Thursday) and off-season months (January–March, September–November) also offer the lowest rates (and fewer crowds).
You can also get reduced rate disability park tickets and Priority / Easy Access Card at hotel, instead of waiting in line at the park.
Book your stay directly through the Disneyland Paris website for the best packages and perks, including park tickets.
My Experience: A Marvelous Father’s Day Stay
Some of my favorite moments with Dad were definitely getting to witness him geek out over the hotel’s artwork, acting out scenes from different Marvel movies, his hilarious poses with the character from the meet & greets, sharing themed cocktails, and creating a comic book together.
Tips for a Perfect Stay
- Give the room a little extra pizazz with some cute superhero decorations for the kids.
- Connect credit card to magic card at check in for cardless payment (similar to Magic bands at Disney World Orlando in U.S.)
- Download the Disneyland Paris app and connect your hotel reservation to book restaurants up to 1 year in advance. (Hotel guests only)
- Check-in 1 week before arrival to avoid lines. Check in early (11 AM) to get there before the crowds who come back at lunchtime around 1 PM.
- 1 week before hotel stay, you can reserve your time slot for “Superhero Station”.
- Visit Marvel Avengers Campus at Walt Disney Studios for MCU themed rides and dining options.
- Use free luggage transfer on arrival & departure day to maximize time at parks.

Pros & Cons
Pros:
- Unbeatable Marvel theming and artwork.
- Exclusive perks: free shuttle, luggage transportation, pre-check-in, and more.
- Steps from Disneyland Paris—super convenient.
- Exclusive experiences (Super Hero Station, Marvel artwork, themed dining).
- Fantastic service and amenities—helpful staff, concierge perks, and Priority Card assistance.
- Great for special occasions—makes for an unforgettable gift!
- Perfect for fans of all ages.
Cons:
- A splurge especially for longer stays (but worth it for fans & special occasions). If it’s out of your family’s budget, you could always get your kid a Batmobile. 😉
- The hotel staff didn’t recognize my Magic Pass could be used at restaurants. This confusion seemed to be recurring throughout the parks too.
- Hotel guests don’t get priority restaurant bookings. I got lucky snagging a last-minute cancellation at Manhattan Restaurant after constantly checking.
- Pool & other amenities can get crowded—visit early in morning or in evening.
- While Disney Express Luggage Service is complimentary and makes the departure easy, our luggage was damaged.
- I wish Super Hero Station had more characters—only Loki was there, and we had to wait. Heroes vary by availability, but you can meet more at Avengers Campus in Walt Disney Studios.
- I wish more staff spoke English. I get that it’s Paris, but with Disney’s international guests—and its U.S. roots—there should be more English-speaking staff available.
